It was making me a little crazy until I figured out the difference in the contextual tabs that were being displayed was due to the file format (it was the middle of the night here. You can select one of 2 possible circular texts in the "Follow Path" group, or there are 4 more circular Select the "Transform" drop down option at the bottom of the displayed drop down list. Now you are looking for a different command: Drawing Tools FormatĬontextual tab / WordArt Styles group / Text Effects drop down command. However, if you are working (as I assume you are) in a 2010 DOCX file, after inserting the Wordart you will see the Drawing Tools Format contextual tab (it has a orangish brown background). The "WordArt Tools Format" contextual tab has a light blue background. You can tell it is one of these formats if you see "" after the file name in the title bar. Yves answer is right if the document is NOT Word 2010 DOCX format, ie it is Word 97-2003 DOC or was saved originally in Word 2007 DOCX. It depends on the format of the document file. But of course this is Windows so there are a couple of possible answers. I found it in answer to another similar question in this forum. Yves is right, there is a better way than my first suggestion.
